This book was a bore! It was dry and not very interesting and seemed way too much like Marley and Me. Which I enjoyed but I didn't enjoy this book. I also don't have a clue why this book is on the controversial / banned book list. The story just didn't have that something that made it special. I didn't laugh, I didn't connect with the characters, I didn't want to read on. Pinkerton was a bad dog and he did all the wrong things and ended up saving his family but it just was kinda blah. I hate to say this but I just did not like this book.
